Abstract

The risk of residual tumor after transurethral resection of transitional cell carcinoma is significantly decreased by 5-aminolevulinic acid fluorescence endoscopy.

One year later, Kriegmair et al [23] found PDD to significantly decrease residual tumors in 129 patients, as 62% and 41% were resected tumor-free at primary resection by PDD and WL, respectively (P < 0.014).
