Abstract:INTRODUCTION: Feeding critically ill patients on mechanical ventilation through a gastric tube can be challenging. Parenteral nutrition is often preferred when enteral feeding is problematic. Transpyloric feeding has been identified as an optimal method of nutrition for seriously ill premature infants.
