Transport Properties of Diethyl Malonate with Aniline and Benzaldehyde at 308.15 and 318.15 K

Abstract: Densities, viscosities and ultrasonic velocities of binary liquid mixtures of diethyl malonate with aniline and benzaldehyde have been measured at 308.15 and 318.15 K. From these data, excess volume (V E ), deviation in isentropic compressibility (∆KS), deviation in viscosity (∆η), deviation in intermolecular free length (∆Lf), deviation in free volume (∆Vf), deviation in internal pressure (∆πi) and deviation in acoustic impedance (∆Z) have been calculated. These results were correlated with the Redlich and Ki… Show more

“…Nitromethane (SRL, Mumbai, purity >99%), 1-butanol (Thermo fisher scientific, Mumbai, Purity >99%), were purified by distillation, and furfural (SRL, Mumbai, Purity >99%), and diethylmalonate (SRL, Mumbai, Purity >99%) were used without further purification. The purity of the pure compounds was also confirmed by comparing the measured density, viscosity, and ultrasonic velocity of the pure compounds at various temperatures with those described in the literature, which showed a fair agreement and is listed in Table 1 [9][10][11][12][13][14][15].…”
