“…Various methods have been proposed for the construction of microscopic three-dimensional structures, particularly for the construction of superhydrophobic surfaces. These include the use of fractal structures, 16 solvent evaporation, 17 a sol-gel process, 18 an oxygen plasma treatment, 19 electrochemical deposition, 20,21 seeded growth, 22 deposition of microbeads, 23 and plasma-enhanced chemical-vapor deposition. 24,25 As a new approach, rough surfaces have also been realized with microfabricated structures.…”

“…The distinct absorption peak at 1110 cm −1 is attributed to the stretching vibration of asymmetric Si-O-C bond in the HMDSO plasma polymer of the treated surface of bifacial fabrics, and this peak is found to be much broad, which can be explained by the overlap of Si-O stretching in Si-O-Si bond and Si-O-C stretching at 990-1090 cm −1 as well as the asymmetric stretching of S=O (around 1120 cm −1 ) bond possibly resulting from oxidized disulphide bonds of wool fibre in the oxygen plasma step [46][47][48]. Another new absorption peak in the FTIR spectra of the Since the optimum asymmetric wettability of the bifacial fabric was achieved with 3 min plasma coating, further experiments and analysis were carried out using the 3 min coating.…”

“…SiO 2 , thin films of ZnO (Zinc Oxide), and indium tin oxide (ITO) are also of interest for various applications. Table 1 provides a summary of reported works on transparent superhydrophobic surfaces [58][59][60][61][62][63][64] fabricated on transparent polymers. However, stretchability and flexibility are also important for many industrial applications.…”
