“…This result clearly shows that the molecular framework of the PDMS was preserved on the silica surface after the chemical vapor deposition of the PDMS precursors. Additional peaks appearing after PDMS coating of the silica in FT‐IR spectra are almost identical to those of the bare PDMS in terms of band positions . This implies that chemical interaction between the silica substrate and coated PDMS was weak.…”

“…Aer PDMS coating, a broad band centred at 1080 cm À1 and 804 cm À1 appeared, which were associated with the Si-O-Si and Si-CH 3 asymmetric bond stretching vibration peaks derived from PDMS. 58 By comparing Synthetic suede-PDMS-OTS with Synthetic suede-PDMS, it can be found that the peak appears at 1465 cm À1 related to -CH 2 bending (scissors) vibration. These results further conrmed the coating of PDMS followed by condensed OTS on the bers.…”

“…Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is by far the most important polymer, which has received considerable attention due to unique properties, such as high transparency, gas permeability, good electric insulation, low surface free energy [1], excellent weather resistance and low toxicity [2e5]. PDMS composites has been widely applied in many areas such as sealants, adhesives, fabric finishing agents, coatings, micro and nanofluidics [6], membranes [7] and so on.…”
