Bioactive Lignans from Hypoestes aristata

Phytochemical investigation of extracts of the stems of Hypoestes aristata led to the isolation of nine lignans that included four known compounds, namely, hinokinin (1), savinin (2), medioresinol (3), and two cubebins (8a,b), three new butyrolactone lignans (4−6), and butyrolactol lignans 7a−c. The structures of the new compounds were established using 1D and 2D NMR and HRESIMS data. The absolute configurations of the new lignans were determined from their ECD data and the Mosher's ester method. This is the first unequivocal assignment of the absolute configuration at C-7 and C-7′ of 7-and 7′hydroxybutyrolactone lignans. The compounds were screened for inhibition of an HIV-1 protease enzyme, and compounds 1 and 6 exhibited moderate activity in this regard.

As part of the early warning system, forest fire detection has a critical role in detecting fire in a forest area to prevent damage to forest ecosystems. In this case, the speed of the detection process is the most critical factor to support a fast response by the authorities. Thus, this article proposes a new framework for fire detection based on combining color-motion-shape features with machine learning technology. The characteristics of the fire are not only red but also from their irregular shape and movement that tends to be constant at specific locations. These characteristics are represented by color probabilities in the segmentation stage, color histograms in the classification stage, and image moments in the verification stage. A frame-based evaluation and an intersection over union (IoU) ratio was applied to evaluate the proposed framework. Frame-based evaluation measures the performance in detecting fires. In contrast, the IoU ratio measures the performance in localizing the fires. The experiment found that the proposed framework produced 89.97% and 10.03% in the true-positive rate and the false-negative rate, respectively, using the VisiFire dataset. Meanwhile, the proposed method can obtain an average of 21.70 FPS in processing time. These results proved that the proposed method is fast in the detection process and can maintain performance accuracy. Thus, the proposed method is suitable and reliable for integrating into the early warning system.

Abstrak -Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai aplikasi metode geolistrik resistivitas yang bertujuan untuk menentukan stuktur lapisan tanah di halaman belakang SCC ITS Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode geolistrik resistivitas konfigurasi Wenner dengan mengambil data sebanyak tiga lintasan dan masing-masing lintasan berjarak 30 meter. Pengolahan data menggunakan metode optimasi least square non linier dengan inversi 2D yang ada pada software Res2Dinv. Dari hasil analisis tiga lintasan diperoleh bahwa struktur lapisan tanah di halaman belakang SCC ITS terdiri atas air tanah dimana nilai resistivitasnya relatif kecil. Lapisan yang mengandung air tanah tersebut berada pada kedalaman 1,35 sampai 1,99m dengan resisitivitas 0,551-2,73m. Selain itu juga terdapat lapisan yang berupa pasir yang bercampur dengan lempung, dan alluvium serta kerikil pada lintasan tiga. Pasir merupakan material batuan yang dapat meloloskan air, namun dengan adanya sisipan lempung maka pada lapisan ini dapat menyimpan air dan mengalirkannya namun dalam jumlah yang terbatas. Kata kunci: Metode Geolistrik Resistivitas, Konfigurasi Wenner.Abstract -Has conducted research on the application of geo-electrical resistivity method that aims to determine the structure of the soil layer in the backyard SCC ITS. The method used in this study is the method of geo-electrical resistivity Wenner configuration by taking the data of three tracks and each track is 30 meters. Data processing using non-linear least square optimization with that of the 2D inversion software Res2Dinv. From the analysis of the three trajectories shows that the structure of the soil layer in the backyard SCC ITS consist of ground water where the resistivity values are relatively small. Layer containing the groundwater is at a depth of 1.35 to 1.99 m with resistivity 0.551 to 2.73 m.. In addition, there is a layer of sand mixed with clay, and alluvium and gravel on the track three. Sand is a rock material that can pass water, but with the insertion of clay then at this layer can store water and running it but in limited quantities.
