Abstract: Translin, a ubiquitous RNA/DNA-binding protein that forms a hetero-octamer together with Translin-associated factor X (TRAX), possesses endoribonuclease activity and plays a physiological role in restricting the size and differentiation of mesenchymal precursor cells.
