Abstract:Two novel series of 13-and 14-membered diazadioxamacrocyclic complexes [ML 1 Cl 2 ] and [ML 2 Cl 2 ] (M=Co 2+ , Ni 2+ , Cu 2+ , and Zn 2+ ) have been synthesized via the condensation reaction of o-aminophenol and 1,2-dibromoethane with a dialdehyde or a diketone in the presence of transition metal ions as templates in ethanol. The mode of bonding and overall geometry of the complexes have been inferred through IR, 1 H NMR, EPR, and electronic spectral studies, conductivity, and magnetic moment measurements. An… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
