The aim of this research is to investigate the mistakes in the writing of the primary basic writing and vocabulary writing of primary school primary students. The research was conducted by qualitative research methods using document review. Within the scope of easily accessible case sampling, 84 students studying in the first grade in a state primary school in Yozgat provincial center were studied. The research was conducted in May 2018. As the data collection tool, the text titled "A School Trip" in "Primary School Turkish 1 Course Book" was used. A paragraph in the student's dictionary was dictated on a student learning strip. Content analysis technique was used in the analysis of the obtained data. After the paragraphs written by the students have been examined, they are grouped under certain codes, categories and themes. As a result of the content analysis conducted in this research, primary school students' vocabulary writing mistakes were investigated with upright basic letters. These are: Incorrect spaces between letters, missing letters, excess letters, changing letters, not writing letters in the same line, adding syllables. Suggestions have been made within the scope of the results reached.
