Transition Analysis to Study the Effect of Cooling Rates on Thermal Stresses for Diffusion Bonded Joints

Abstract: In this work the analytical and numerical methods were used to calculate the residual stresses induced in the joint due to the deference in the physical and mechanical properties of the materials, cooling from bonding temperature to room temperature. The residual stresses induced in graphite may be become too high that the joint break down so it takes as major stress in the joint.
