Indeed, our study shows that, in backsourcing, knowledge is transferred from the supplier to the client, either as articulated (Chua and Pan, 2008 ), transformed (Leonardi and Bailey, 2008 ), inter-related to expertise or through sense-making (Vlaar et al, 2008 ).
