“…For the high transferability of SSR markers across the cultivated and wild Brassica species, 27,33,54,55 the developed genome-wide SSR markers from B. rapa (AA, 2n = 20), B. oleracea (CC, 2n = 18) and B. napus (AACC, 2n = 38) should also be useful for B. nigra (BB, 2n = 16), B. juncea (AABB, 2n = 36), B. carinata (BBCC, 2n = 34) and other Brassica species. In addition, according to the previous marker transferability research, 15,16,22,25 a considerable proportion of the newly developed genome-wide Brassica SSR markers (especially the genic SSR markers) should also be useful for the species that belong to other genera and tribes within the Brassicaceae family.…”
