Transducer array excitations for optimum difference patterns

Abstract

Exact synthesis techniques for arrays of transducers providing difference patterns are reported. These methods utilize the class of functions known as the Zolotarev polynomials. They are the difference analogs of the sum array synthesis procedures based on the Chebyshev polynomials.
