Transcriptome Analysis Identified 2 New lncRNAs Associated with the Metastasis of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma

Abstract: Introduction: Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) is a specific subgroup of papillary thyroid carcinoma and defined with the dimension ≤1 cm by the WHO. Although it shows a relatively high 10-year livability, the metastasis of PTMC into other tissues and organs seriously affects the daily life of patients with relatively high mortality. Therefore, the genetic basis for the metastasis of PTMC needs to be explored for effective therapeutic targets. Here, we conducted a s… Show more

“…For instance, He et al . 107 sequenced the transcriptomes of six PTMCs without LNM and six PTMCs with LNM, and observed 42 differentially expressed lncRNAs, among which, the expression of lnc-T07749 and lnc-T004533 was found to be correlated with LNM in PTMCs. In conclusion, although many Noncoding RNAs are currently found to be associated with PTMC progression, the diagnostic efficacy of these molecules needs further extensive validation and confirmation for better and earlier clinical translation.…”
