Transcranial direct current stimulation interventions for cognition in older adults

Contributions by others to the thesis Significant contributions were made by my advisors Paul E. Dux, Hannah L. Filmer and Jason B. Mattingley in the conception and design of the experimental study and systematic review. They additionally assisted with the interpretation of study findings, read and edited drafts of both manuscripts and provided guidance on responding to reviewers. Paul and Hannah read and edited drafts of the thesis introduction and discussion. Paul assisted with participant recruitment by participating in a media video and radio interview. Zoie E. Nott and Amaya Fox contributed substantially to experimental data collection, and Zoie assisted with organisation of the study materials and protocol. Zoie also assisted with the systematic review as a second reader in the selection process and risk of bias assessment. Hannah L. Filmer assisted with programming of experimental tasks and analysis scripts, randomizing participants to groups and regular data extraction to ensure that I remained blinded to participants' study conditions.
