“…Contributing to the emerging literature on conducting qualitative research in COVID-19 (Rahman et al, 2021; Roberts et al, 2021; Teti et al, 2020, 2021; Tremblay et al, 2021), instead of analyzing the application, strengths, and limitations of virtual modes (Dodds & Hess, 2021; Marhefka et al, 2020; Marsh et al, 2020) or digital technologies (Marsh et al, 2020; Saltzman et al, 2021) in continuing research in crises, this study emphasizes the changing human resources in research, specifically the local peers' engagement. Like many projects had been planned before COVID-19 and had to continue through it with thoughtful consideration of various factors such as funder, institutional or individual expectations, graduation pressure, etc (Teti et al, 2021), from an empirical study, we draw some practical experience to do on-site research in COVID-19 especially when the researchers are not physically present at the research sites, which has rarely been mentioned in previous studies (Marsh et al, 2020; Fedorowicz et al, 2020; Bhagwan et al, 2021; Chetty & Bhagwan, 2021; Davis et al, 2020; etc). The first lesson is having an effective collaboration with highly reputable peers who can facilitate opening the “gate” of the communities and ensuring the prestige of the projects.…”

“…Empirical evidence, as summarized in various literature reviews, shows that the most popular role for students in CenR is as outsiders of target communities. For example, students can engage in social work education (Bhagwan et al, 2021), online or offline service learning (Dirksen, 2020; Kermish-Allen et al, 2018; Krasny et al, 2021; Pak, 2020), volunteering (Chetty & Bhagwan, 2021; Davis et al, 2020; Hlalele et al, 2016), or participate as medical students in health campaigns (Claude & Hawkes, 2020). Students' engagement in CenR has various benefits, including facilitating the social justice mandate of the profession (Bhagwan et al, 2021), enhancing leadership (Ayaya, 2021), and increasing students' understanding of the community.…”

“…Understanding and assessing the situation holistically is essential for the most optimal decision. Critical thinking can be seen as the basis for advocating for social responsibility, building inclusive and just communities, and practicing transcendent leadership (Bhagwan et al, 2022). Having critical thinking skills, one can identify, analyze, and solve problems the organization faces and develop effective strategies to achieve organizational goals (Schiuma et al, 2022).…”

“…Adanya interaksi antar pengguna dapat membentuk sebuah komunitas online dimana para penggunanya saling melibatkan diri. Keterlibatan komunitas ini merupakan proses antar pengguna untuk saling berinteraksi dan terhubung guna mencapai tujuan tertentu (Bhagwan et al, 2021). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam konteks kegiatan belanja online bisa berupa pertukaran informasi hingga penentuan keputusan pembelian.…”
