Tranexamic Acid for Melasma Treatment: A Split-Face Study

Abstract: BACKGROUND Melasma is an acquired hyperpigmented skin disorder. Tranexamic acid (TXA) prevents ultraviolet radiation induced pigmentation in melasma through interfering with the plasminogen–plasmin pathway.
