Abstract:INTRODUCTION: TRALI (transfusion-related acute lung injury) and TACO (transfusion-associated circulatory overload) are severe post-transfusion reactions with high hospital mortality, uncertainty in pathophysiologic mechanisms and a blurred clinical presentation often lead to these conditions being underdiagnosed or missed by clinicians.
