This article reports a study of teachers’ lesson planning in a collegial setting. The school employed scheduled time every week for team planning in different school subjects. In this article, 44 planning sessions in Mathematics and History are analysed in two steps. First, the sessions were coded in Nvivo with a framework building on Tyler’s (1950) description of planning as a four-step activity. In a second step, beliefs about knowledge and knowers were analysed using the concepts of hierarchical and horizontal knowledge and knowerstructures (Maton, 2014). The results reveal that time spent on discussing specific activities in regard to planning differed considerably. For example, the planning team in History spent 36% on specifying objectives and knowledge whereas the planning team in Mathematics spent 5,5% on that theme. Further, different beliefs about knowledge and knowers in the two subjects appeared, where a hierarchical knowledge structure and a horizontal knower structure was identified in Mathematics and a horizontal knowledge structure and a hierarchical knower structure was identified in History. These divergences in coding orientation and focus in planning between school subjects indicate that lesson planning is a subject specific practice that needs to be organised for in teachers’ daily work.

The aim of the study was to explore social measurements and COVID-19 -related behavioral choices from a network structure perspective. We tested network models by comparing network structures in 46 countries by cultural dimensions (Hofstede et al., 2010). The pre-registered hypothesis was that the network structure of variables predicting COVID-19-related behavioral choices will be robust across countries, regardless of the mean differences of these variables between countries characterized by high vs low culture dimension indices. Behavioural choices toward COVID-19 situation were: physical hygiene, policy support, and physical contact. In network analysis we used several social/psychological constructs: social belonging, trait optimism, collective narcissism, moral identity, self-esteem, national identification, trait self-control, morality as cooperation, conspiracy beliefs, political ideology, and narcissism. We analysed twelve conditions based on dichotomized culture dimensions (high vs. low Power distance, Individualism, Masculinity, Uncertainty avoidance, Long-term orientation, and Indulgence) across demographics (e.g., age, gender). We conducted network structure analysis using high-dimensional undirected graph estimation with glasso procedure splitting the data by culture dimensions in total with N = 40 795 individuals. The study findings indicated that the network models were fairly consistent across cultures with different scores on each of Hofstede's six cultural dimensions. This similarity reflects the previous studies in terms of the stability of associations between variables regardless of sex, age, and political beliefs.

The utilisation of technology in education is revolutionising the learning process in the era of digitalisation. E-learning has revolutionised education via internet platforms, digital documents, and electronic resources. This study examines the perspectives and utilisation of e-learning resources by faculty members with a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) degree. The integration of technology into teaching methods is pertinent for higher educational institutions. Course Evaluation: This study pertains to the topic of 'Understanding Disciplines and School Subjects,' thus making it pertinent to the field of education. The study's findings can assist B. Ed faculty members in evaluating the suitability of e-learning materials for their course requirements. Research objectives: To investigate the perceptions of B. Ed faculty members regarding the quality, accessibility, and usability of e-learning materials about this subject. The study population consisted of all faculty members of the B. Ed. programme at Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu during 2023. Study Sample: The study sample consisted of forty-two faculty members from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University who were selected using a cluster sampling technique. The study utilised a questionnaire to gather data. Many faculty members responded positively to the survey about their previous experience with e-learning and their utilisation of e-learning resources in their teaching of the B. Ed programme. They also expressed their comfort in using technology for teaching purposes. Gaining insight into the viewpoints of B. Ed faculty members regarding e-learning materials is crucial for improving the overall quality of education. This study's findings can enhance and optimise the content and delivery of e-learning resources.
