Traffic Service Position System No. 1: Remote Trunk Arrangement: Overall Description and Operational Characteristics

Abstract: This paper is an introduction to the Remote Trunk Arrangement feature of the Traffic Service Position System. The design permits the tsps trunk circuit, which connects the subscriber to the operator, to be located in a distant, rural location. All the logic, records, control, and centralized access to the operators remains at the base unit.
