Traffic Dataset for Dynamic Routing Algorithm in Traffic Simulation

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to create a simulated environment for teaching algorithms, big data processing, and machine learning. The environment is similar to Google Maps, with the capacity of finding the fastest path between two points in dynamic traffic situations. However, the system is significantly simplified for educational purposes. Students can choose different traffic patterns and program a car to navigate through the traffic dynamically based on the changing traffic. The environments used in the… Show more

“…However, treating industrial effluents containing dyes is challenging due to the stable nature of dye molecules and their resistance to aerobic digestion. Furthermore, the usual dye removal methods are economically undesirable or technically complicated because of the low concentration of dye molecules in industrial effluents 5 . To date, various methods such as membrane processes, absorption, coagulation, and advanced oxidation have been applied to remove dyes 6 .…”

“…In [31], two decision algorithms were proposed to address the issue of message consistency caused by malicious vehicles that would tamper the content of disseminated messages, and the simulation results verified the effectiveness of the algorithms. In [32], a complete dataset with real traffic data was applied in a traffic simulator and was used for dynamic routing algorithms. This work provided a visualization sample of dynamic routing algorithms for Computer Science education.…”

“…The traffic can be generated randomly or in a controlled way. In this paper, the real data set recorded by Maricopa Country in Arizona government to generate the traffic in a controlled way, so that the controlled vehicle can dynamically recalculate the route based on the current traffic simulation [17]. The application creates an environment similar to Google Maps drive direction, with the capacity of finding the shortest-time path to the destination in dynamic traffic situations.…”
