The studies on the operational performance of sugarcane machinery, in particular the mechanized planting system, are still incipient in Brazil, requiring greater efforts to increase the quality of agricultural operation. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the operational performance of sugarcane mechanized planting in two operation shifts. The mechanized planting was conducted in the municipality area of Monte Alto -São Paulo (SP), Brazil. The statistical design was completely randomized, totaling 80 sampling points, from which 40 points for daytime operation and 40 points for nighttime operation. The variables evaluated were: displacement speed, engine rpm, engine oil pressure, engine water temperature, effective field capacity, and hourly and effective fuel consumption. The coefficient of variation is greater for the alignment of the tractor at night shift, while the coefficients of skewness and kurtosis are higher during day shift. Displacement speed, engine rpm, engine oil pressure, hourly and effective fuel consumption, and effective field capacity showed no influence over the shift operation.

Los centros para la evaluación y prueba de tractores, las normativas e instrumentación empleada en dichas pruebas han sido ampliamente referenciados en la literatura especializada, sin embargo, no existe un documento que refleje la situación actual sirviendo como de guía o referencia para el análisis y la capacitación en estos temas, por lo que el objetivo del trabajo es analizar la situación actual de los centros, normativas y equipamiento para la evaluación y prueba de tractores agrícolas. Se realizó una investigación documental que abarcó las principales bases que contienen información referente a las pruebas de tractores, tales como: Science Direct, Scopus, Research Gathe, Scielo, Latindex, y Google Académico, entre otros. De igual forma, se consultaron los sitios web de las estaciones y centros de pruebas de máquinas y tractores a nivel global, recopilándose de manera selectiva la información básica sobre dichos centros. Los resultados muestran un análisis histórico lógico del desarrollo de estos centros, así como, su situación actual y perspectivas de trabajo, estándares o normativas empleadas durante las pruebas. Por último, se realizó una descripción del equipamiento que emplean poniéndose de manifiesto que los mismos están condicionados por el procedimiento de prueba empleado, el lugar de realización de estas y los tipos de facilidades utilizadas. Estos resultados permitieron concluir que, la universalización del uso de los tractores agrícolas ha propiciado el desarrollo de centros, normativas e instrumentación para la realización de pruebas en función de elevar la comercialización, intercambiabilidad y adaptabilidad a las distintas condiciones de trabajo.
