Tracing cellular heterogeneity in pooled genetic screens via multi-level barcoding

Abstract: While pooled loss-and gain-of-function screening approaches have become increasingly popular to systematically investigate mammalian gene function, they have thus far ignored the fact that cell populations are heterogeneous.
