Tr(F3) supersymmetric form factors and maximal transcendentality. Part I. $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 super Yang-Mills

Abstract: In the large top-mass limit, Higgs plus multi-gluon amplitudes in QCD can be computed using an effective field theory. This approach turns the computation of such amplitudes into that of form factors of operators of increasing classical dimension. In this paper we focus on the first finite top-mass correction, arising from the operator Tr(F 3 ), up to two loops and three gluons. Setting up the calculation in the maximally supersymmetric theory requires identification of an appropriate supersymmetric completion… Show more

“…It has also been also applied to compute collinear anomalous dimensions [51]. Recently, the MTP was also verified for three gluon form factors of the the dimension-6 operators in the pure gluon sector [52][53][54][55]. In this paper, as also reported in [56], the principle was extended to the two-quark one-gluon form factors.…”

“…The generalization is in two aspects. Firstly, the maximal transcendentality principle applies to Higgs to three-parton amplitudes (or form factors) with high dimension operators, see also [52][53][54][55][56]. Secondly, as also discussed in [56], the principle applies also to Higgs amplitudes with external quark states, by a change of color factors:…”

“…One could start looking at protected longer operators, for which some loop results are already available [44,45]. Afterwards, one would naturally move to unprotected operators [46][47][48][49][50][51]. In that case the presence of ultraviolet divergences makes things more subtle and the argument of Section 3 would have to be revisited.…”

“…In this paper we extend the study of form factors of the operator Tr(F 3 ) initiated in [1,2] at two loops with an external state containing three gluons of positive helicity. The importance of these form factors arises from their connection to the effective theory for Higgs plus many gluon processes.…”
