In this study, Al2024 based and Al2O3 reinforced (10% and 20% by weight) composites were produced by hot pressing method. For this reason, 2024 aluminum alloy powders and Al2O3 powders (10% and 20% by weight) were separately mixed with the triaxial mixer for 1 hour. The mixture powders were blocked in a unidirectional mold under a pressure of 50MPa at 550°C for 1 hour. It is aimed to determine the effect of composites on density, hardness and abrasion properties. According to the results of the experiments, the density of the composites decreased slightly and the wear volume loss decreased significantly by increasing the reinforcement ratio. In addition, hardness values increased.
