Toxicity of Amoxicillin and Erythromycin to Fish and Mosquito

Abstract: This study characterized the toxicity of Amoxicillin (AM), Erythromycin (ER) and Endosulfan (EN) to fish and mosquito larvae obtained from a certified fish farm and from Wadi Gaza. The acute toxicity tests were determined by calculating mortality percentage of fish and mosquitoes through a gradient concentration of the tested compounds. Mortality percentage, exposure time, LC 50 and LT 50 were taken as indicators of toxicity. The results showed that AM was the potent compound against fish with LC 50 value lowe… Show more

“…In other words, the F 0 was fed on toxin treated host plant for whole lifecycle, while the F 1 was transferred to a clean nonhost plant. Then, the survival rate of F 1 was recorded daily [46]. Their fecundity was checked every day until the death of all individuals to estimate the indirect effects of CucB and EGCG on the aphid population-level fitness in nonhost plant adaptation.…”

“…In addition, drinking of contaminated water [8] [9], ingestion of contaminated food [3], working with soil components [10] and inhalation of contaminated air [11] may become extreme health risk due to indirect exposure to pesticides. Application of pesticides was found to create risks to non-target organism such as cyanobacteria [12] [13] [14] [15], plant [16], fish [17] [18].…”

“…to the regions which aims, among other things, to improve the provision of regional physical infrastructure and facilities according to national priorities and reduce the gap between regional growth rates and services between fields. According to Yasser (2015), the flexibility of using a general allocation fund can be an alternative source of funding for capital expenditure. The increasing general allocation fund will provide greater opportunities to increase the allocation of capital expenditure.…”
