Show more

“…Insecticides belonging to the chemical groups of avermectin (abamectin, ivermectin), phenylpyrazole (fipronil), and neonicotinoid (imidacloprid) are efficient for the control of Reticulitermes chinensis . Insecticides of the avermectin group act on the nervous system chlorine channel activators, fipronil hits the gamma-amino butyric acid type A receptors (GABARs), and imidacloprid hits the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) …”

“…In most cases, these problems result from the reduced number of machines available for operation and the logistics of acquiring the products needed for the application (Bassanezi, 2018). The increase in the interval between detection and control action makes the mite population more significant at the time of application, and, even if the acaricide is efficient, the residual mite population will be larger, consequently, it will take less time to reach the control action level again, resulting in a shorter period of mite control by the acaricide (Bassanezi, 2018;Andrade et al, 2010c).…”

“…Acaricide sprays to suppress disease vectors are the main strategy for managing citrus leprosis in South and Central America (Amorim et al, 2006;Andrade et al, 2010;Silva et al, 2012;Della Vechia and Andrade, 2022). In fact, about 10% of the acaricide market worldwide is used to manage Brevipalpus spp.…”
