Abstract: Herbicides and insecticides are applied in agriculture sequentially or simultaneously to control broadleaf weeds, corn rootworm larvae, and other soil pests. Pesticide application creates the potential for movement to aquatic habitats via sediment or runoff, hence affects non-target aquatic organisms.
