Towards spontaneous parametric down-conversion at low temperatures

Abstract: Abstract. The possibility of observing spontaneous parametric downconversion in doped nonlinear crystals at low temperatures, which would be useful for combining heralded single-photon sources and quantum memories, is studied theoretically.
