Safety and security research in tourism: a bibliometric mapping

Safety and security are among the most basic needs in life and are essential in tourism as in other research areas; thus, researchers need to focus on the topic. Since the 1970s, when the first scientific paper on tourism safety was published, the number of research in this field has significantly increased. This study aims to carry out a bibliometric analysis on tourism safety and security research conducted over the past forty-five years. The literature on the subject includes 597 studies obtained from the Scopus database. VOSviewer scientific mapping software programme was used to perform the analysis. The software covers keywords of tourism safety and security topics, influential authors, publications, journals, and countries and identifies several techniques such as co-citation, concept association, and bibliographic coupling. The rapid increase in the number of research and citations shows that the topic of tourism safety and security has drawn the attention of researchers in the last 12 years. The analysis results revealed that the study with the strongest link with other publications is “Tourist's perceptions of safety and security while visiting Cape Town”. The researcher who contributed the most to the field with the author citation is Michael C. Hall; the journal making the most substantial impact is Tourism Management. Finally, the most productive country is United States of America. The current study contributes to expanding the literature on tourism safety and security and offers an overview for further research in this field.

A Novel Link Failure Prediction in Cluster Based Routing Protocol for MANETs

The mobile adhoc network (MANET) has attracted considerable attention from researchers due to its dynamic and versatile nature. Graph clustering algorithms can be more effective than optimization algorithms in modeling and analyzing networks because these algorithms arrange nodes into clusters based on their connectivity. According to this context, a graph kernel-based clustering algorithm (GKCA) was developed for MANETs by combining the d-hop graph kernel and clustering scheme. Additionally, it uses the shortest route to connect multiple cluster head (CH) nodes for data transfer. MANETs face challenges such as changes in network structure and disruptions in communication links, which result in an increase in route discovery requests and longer mean end-toend delays (MED) due to longer link reconnect times. Hence, this article proposes the GKCA with link failure prediction (GKCA-LFP) in MANETs to prevent path failures resulting from node mobility. The GKCA is initially used to determine the cluster size and CH nodes. The shortest route is used to connect the CHs for data transfer. Then, the LFP strategy is introduced at this stage to maintain the path. This strategy aims to predict the current link status based on mobility and position information to prevent failure conditions and minimize packet loss ratio (PLR). The GKCA-LFP algorithm can choose more stable shortest paths to connect CHs for data transfer, resulting in decreased MED and PLR. The extensive simulations show that the GKCA-LFP algorithm outperforms the GKCA, AMAC, MARP-HO, and RS-GG algorithms in MANETs. Specifically, for 100 nodes, the GKCA-LFP algorithm achieves a 1.4% control packet ratio (CPR), 0.8% PLR, and 455µs MED. Additionally, for nodes with a mobility speed of 20m/s, the GKCA-LFP algorithm achieves a 1.2% CPR, 2.3% PLR, and 120µs MED.

The innovative mechanism of college students’ employment security is a series of security measures implemented by the state and society to solve the mismatch between the scale growth of college graduates and the jobs provided by the society. In order to promote the development of emerging Internet of things technologies, users can find interesting and valuable information from a large number of data sets and use this information to meet the needs of users. This article mainly studies the historical development trend and discrete dynamic modeling and analysis technology of college students’ innovative employment security mechanism under the environment of Internet of things. Using two different modeling methods of Bayesian network and BP neural network, this article makes discrete dynamic modeling on the influencing factors and employment security mechanism of college students’ employment, so as to improve the college biological network innovation employment security mechanism and better help college students’ employment.
