Towards communication network development (structural systems issues, combinatorial models)

Abstract: This paper focuses on systems development issues (i.e., improvement, extension) for composite (modular) systems. First, systems approaches are considered: (a) improvement of systems components and/or their interconnections, (b) improvement/extension of a system structure, (c) "space" (e.g., geographical) extension of a system as designing an additional system part, and (d) combined system improvement/extension. Communication networks are examined as a basic applied domain. Second, combinatorial optimization mo… Show more

“…Tables 2, 4 contain some parameters for users (A) (coordinates (x i , y i , z i ), required frequency spectrum f j , required level of reliability r j , etc.) and some parameters for 6 access points (B = {j} = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}) (coordinates (x j , y j , z j ), frequency spectrum f j , number of connections n j , level of reliability r j ) ( [7], [9]). A simplified version of assignment problem from [7] is considered.…”
