Since the inception of the Internet of Things (IoT), we have adopted centralized architecture for decades. With the vastly growing number of IoT devices and gateways, this architecture struggles to cope with the high demands of state-of-the-art IoT services, which require scalable and responsive infrastructure. In response, decentralization becomes a considerable interest among IoT adopters. Following a similar trajectory, this paper introduces an IoT architecture re-work that enables three spheres of IoT workflows (i.e., computing, storage, and networking) to be run in a distributed manner. In particular, we employ the blockchain and smart contract to provide a secure computing platform. The distributed storage network maintains the saving of IoT raw data and application data. The software-defined networking (SDN) controllers and SDN switches exist in the architecture to provide connectivity across multiple IoT domains. We envision all of those services in the form of separate yet integrated peer-to-peer (P2P) overlay networks, which IoT actors such as IoT domain owners, IoT users, Internet Service Provider (ISP), and government can cultivate. We also present several IoT workflow examples showing how IoT developers can adapt to this new proposed architecture. Based on the presented workflows, the IoT computing can be performed in a trusted and privacy-preserving manner, the IoT storage can be made robust and verifiable, and finally, we can react to the network events automatically and quickly. Our discussions in this paper can be beneficial for many people ranging from academia, industries, and investors that are interested in the future of IoT in general.

The rapid development in information technology has rendered an increase in the data volume at a speed which is surprising. In recent times, cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) have become the hottest among the topics in the industry of information technology. There are many advantages to Cloud computing such as scalability, low price, and large scale and the primary technique of the IoTs like the Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) have been applied to a large scale. In the recent times, the users of cloud storage have been increasing to a great extent and the reason behind this was the cloud storage system bringing down the issues in maintenance and also has a low amount of storage when compared to other methods. This system provides a high degree of reliability and availability where redundancy is introduced to the systems. In the replicated systems, objects get to be copied many times and every copy resides in a different location found in distributed computing. So, replication of data has been posing some threat to the cloud storage for users and also for the providers since it has been a major challenge providing efficient storage of data. So, the work has been analysing different strategies of replication of data and have pointed out several issues that are affected by this. For the purpose of this work, replication of data has been presented by employing the Cuckoo Search (CS) and the Greedy Search. The research is proceeding in a direction to reduce the replications without any adverse effect on the reliability and the availability of data.

The modern wireless sensor network is focused on integrating the emerging technology of IoT with the real world for enhanced data processing to improve automation and communication more smartly and safely. In the present industrial upgradation with IoT application greatly proved its positive influences on the operation and management phases along with progressive adoption of cloud computing and big data analytics. In Industry, smart monitoring and distributed control of entire architecture are hold up with the renovated technology of the Internet of Things (IoT). It lies on the top layer of the wireless communication network to afford enhanced connectivity among smart wireless or wired sensor with the embedded modern controller to the cloud server. In IoT application, real-time data acquisition is done securely and transmitted to the data analytics services to identify any catastrophic situation existence. It is reliable and moved industrial automation to the next step evolution of formulating to make proactive decisions to decide and react to the industrial variation constraints. Though modernization has shifted to analog to the digital generation, it is interoperable with available protocols and data standardizations in industrial sectors. Hence this paper enumerates the detailed configurations and features of IoT application involved in the modern communication platform towards the development of smart cities by incorporating data mining using AI (Artificial Intelligence). Further, the trending overview of Industrial IoT application in risk-based environments with complete knowledge-based architecture with incorporated wireless technology and protocols are outlined.
