Work is an activity that takes most of the day to earn a living and improve the standard of living. During work, many people have to work indoors, which can be a less comfortable and unhealthy place if the temperature and humidity are not well controlled. Unsuitable temperature and humidity conditions can negatively affect the health and comfort of workers, as well as interfere with productivity and work quality. However, the problem that often arises is the difficulty of controlling room temperature and humidity effectively, especially in rooms that are closed and do not get air circulation from outside. Therefore, an effective solution is needed to control the temperature and humidity of the room automatically and remotely via the internet. The contribution of this research is to develop an effective and efficient AC control system in controlling room temperature and humidity using Tsukamoto's Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) method and the Internet of Things (IoT). Tsukamoto's FIS is used to produce AC temperature values in room temperature and humidity control as measured by the DHT22 sensor directly integrated with the ESP32 microcontroller. This control system is monitored remotely using IoT concepts through a mobile application interface. The results of this study show that room temperature can be controlled under normal conditions, with an average change of -1.67°C and an overall average temperature of 25.95°C. While the average humidity is at a value of 80.16% which is included in the Wet set. This suggests that humidity cannot be controlled under normal conditions, so it still requires further development. In addition, it is also necessary to further investigate the effectiveness of the tool in various sizes and more complex layouts of rooms.

PurposeThe main purpose of this study is to present a new approach to managing process changes in uncertain conditions. The proposed approach is applied in one of the largest production companies in Turkey to manage the changes in their warehouse processes which formed after the merger.Design/methodology/approachIn the model, interval-valued hesitant fuzzy the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (IVHF-DEMATEL) methodology is integrated into one of the most used BPR tools, change matrix. The main focus of the proposed model is to increase both flexibility and applicability in uncertain conditions. Thus, while the change matrix enables companies to be agile and responsive to changes, IVHF-DEMATEL provides a better way to continuously evaluate and determine critical processes, and strategies to align with evolving conditions.FindingsInitial analysis revealed two major problems, the slowness of shipments caused by the increase in costs and the confusion in the organizational structure. However, the conventional methods fall short of effectively determination of critical objectives in terms of dealing with uncertainty. Therefore, a comprehensive roadmap for managing the change is developed with the integration of IVHF-DEMATEL and change matrix so that a successful transition is achieved.Originality/valueIt is believed that the study will contribute to the existing literature by providing a novel approach in which the IVHF-DEMATEL methodology is integrated into the change matrix. Also, the study provides a guideline for practical applications by presenting a step-by-step implementation of the model.

Business is a war to get the attention you deserve from your enemies, and many competitors strive to gain a prominent position. Organizations are constantly seeking innovative ways to work to stay in a competitive business environment. Business process reengineering (BPR) is one of the most management approaches that are adopted by many organizations in order to achieve a dramatic increase in performance and cost reduction. Since the risks enfolded and failure rates related to BPR projects are very high, it is necessary to find ways to support success of BPR in a systematic approach. The major target of this article is to find the implementation of the proposed model to reengineer business processes (BPs) successfully via integrating critical success factors (CSFs) of BPR and BPs' performance. It is created to detect the inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the business process, decrease costs, time and increase quality of business processes, enhance financial environment and make an effective and efficient performance of the business process. It also applies a mining technique of association rule to examine the link between CSFs and several BPs and measures business processes' performance (intended BPR success) by process time, cycle time, quality and cost pre and post reengineering BPs. Thus, it uses a way to select the appropriate model for each business process. The proposed model will be implemented using a real world the Egyptian tax authority case study in order to prove its usefulness and efficiency. Then, inferred CSFs were applied according to each process, which proved the validity and success of the proposed model.
