“…It is obvious that in the traditions of Western and Eastern cultures, the concept of pluralism is deeply rooted and is associated with the most frequent variety of interpretations of one and the same thing -idea, system, ethical standards, when different interpretations, attitudes, ultimately lead to the understanding of one and the same thing. Pluralism of interpretations is superior to other types of pluralisms: firstly, this type of pluralism can reduce radical differences to one harmonious understanding of some subject, secondly, pluralism of interpretations connects the ancient cultures of the East and West and becomes a sustainable basis for ethical dialogue (Ibeh;Eyong;Amaeshi, 2021). Only in the past few years have management scholars explicitly analyzed the impact of African American and African origin management concepts on American management thought and practice (Prieto and Phipps, 2019; Ibeh et al , 2022).…”

“…An early occurrence of this critical trend emerged when Cooke (2003) published his work on slavery, which argued – in part – that slavery’s existence has been denied in the management and business history literature. Some other scholars have also challenged Wren and Bedeian – either directly or indirectly – for ignoring the importance of women (Williams and Mills, 2017), African management and black history (Prieto and Phipps, 2019) and having a colonial flair (Ibeh et al , 2022). These new constituencies decentered the scholarly community toward a clash of different perspectives (Helms Mills and Mills, 2021).…”
