The system proposed in this paper provides an effective solution in finding the vacant space and manages the vehicles entering in and out of parking area. The system consists of Arduino Uno, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), Servo motor and Infrared (IR) Sensors. Two IR Sensors placed just before and after the entrance of the gate which detects the motion of the vehicle either entering or leaving the gate or slot area. The Arduino Uno, a microcontroller counts the number of available slots based on the entry or exit of the vehicle and the state of each slot i.e., either the slot is empty or full and provides a feedback which is displayed on the LCD. This whole process makes the system fully automated and thus provides a solution for vehicle parking in a smart way. The proposed automated system causes the driver to navigate in reaching to the vacant slot using display thus reduces search time. The proposed system can be implemented at places where heavy number of vehicles needs to be parked.

The article presents the architecture and implementation of a street traffic monitoring system. It uses RFID identifiers to recognize vehicles, including special meaning, such as ambulances, city buses, vehicles with reduced exhaust gas emissions. Traffic data is sent to the IoT Hub service in the Azure cloud. On their basis, road situations are analyzed and decisions are made regarding traffic control. Control information is fed back to traffic control devices by means of street lights, barriers, information boards. The article describes the method of communication with the computing cloud and the possibilities of implementing traffic monitoring and control algorithms using IoT Hub.

The parking place number still remains insufficient despite the continuous growth in vehicle number. This study proposed a solution using modern technology to resolve these parking issues. The proposed solution is an automated parking management system that reduces parking scarcity by providing unused car parking places. This project has used IoT, mobile application, a web application to serve the following services, parking management, parking place availability monitorization, real-time invoice generation, payment system and, parking management. By proving this system, the hassle of people will be reduced as they are getting updates on nearby available parking spots. Alongside IoT, mobile application, web application other technologies such as GPS -GSM module, image processing method, and other technologies were integrated. The system offers both web and android app-based solutions for better customer experience and easy usage. Moreover, there is also an offline mode to use the system.
