Abstract. After more than a decade of research in the field of e-government, it is now timely and appropriate to reflect upon the overall developmental directions in the area. The purpose of this paper is to explore research progress to date by systematically analysing the existing body of knowledge on egovernment related issues. Usable data relating to e-government research currently available were collected from 434 research articles. Based on the investigation of the various studies, our findings reveal that survey was the most utilised research method, and the Technology Acceptance Model was the most utilised theory to explain research models. Although a large number of theories and theoretical constructs were borrowed from the reference disciplines, their exploitation by e-government researchers appears largely random in approach. The paper also presents limitations and further research directions.

Applicability of Microfinance for Adaptation to Sea Level Rise Impacts

The aim of this study is to study the applicability of hypothetical microfinance for household adaptation to sea level rise impacts at community level. The study examines two hypothesis: 1) microfinance can (cannot) be applied as an adaptive measure to the impacts of sea level rise; 2) whether or not the factors of risk perceptions, attitudes, social references, microfinance conditions, government supports, and demographic influence an individual participation to a designed microfinance. The study sites are six vulnerable coastal villages located in the Gulf of Thailand. A designed microfinance for adaptation to sea level rise impacts is assumed in hypothetical market and tested with residents in the villages. Acceptance analysis, Pearson correlation, and stepwise regression analysis are used to test the hypothesis of the study.The study results reveal that microfinance can be applied for household adaptation to sea level rise impacts at community level. However, there are some correlated factors that affect individual participation to the designed microfinance. The likelihood of successful implementation of microfinance for the adaptation purposes is depended on how those factors affecting participation are properly addressed by implementer.

Objective of this article is to investigate the factors affecting adoption of Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS) in Pakistan context. Under financial assistance of World Bank, this Pakistan egovernment initiative is based on government's long term digital strategic policy that aims to reform and modernize Land Record administration and resources. The model formulated here is based on Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and incorporates constructs such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence, facilitating conditions, self-efficacy, trust and behavioral intention. The verifiable results exhibited the positive and significant relations for all 14 hypotheses affirmed using seven constructs. The empirical demonstrations and arguments mentioned in this article can assist Pakistan government to enhance upon and to fully avail the potentiality of LRMIS as an effective and serviceable substance for lucid, not bribable governance and towards modernized digital Land Records not only for one province but throughout the country.
