ARTÍCULOS PROPENSIÓN A INNOVAR EN TI Y RECIPROCIDAD EN EL ÁMBITO DE LAS REDES SOCIALES Propensão a inovar em TI e reciprocidade no âmbito das redes sociais Personal innovativeness in IT and reciprocity in the domain of social networks RESUMENEl objetivo de la investigación reside en la influencia de la propensión a la innovación en Tecnologías de la Información (TI) como rasgo personal específico, y la reciprocidad sobre el apoyo recibido (su percepción) y la integración social en las redes sociales online. La revisión de la literatura revela la ausencia de estudios concluyentes sobre los efectos de las diferencias personales en la integración social. Un modelo estructural se propone para valorar las relaciones entre los constructos, y el poder predictivo del modelo de investigación. Los resultados demuestran que mejorar la reciprocidad, el apoyo recibido y la promoción de la propensión a la innovación en TI son iniciativas relevantes para el bienestar del usuario y su integración social. La investigación amplía el poder explicativo de la teoría existente, y sugiere a los responsables de marketing estrategias que mejoren dichas variables fomentando la integración social y el éxito duradero de la red social online.PALABRAS CLAVE | Redes sociales online, reciprocidad, propensión a la innovación en tecnologías de la información, integración social, apoyo comunitario percibido. RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo é investigar a influência da propensão a inovar em Tecnologias da Informação (TI) como um traço específico e os efeitos da reciprocidade no apoio recebido (sua percepção) e integração social nas redes sociais. A revisão de literatura revela a ausência de estudos conclusivos sobre os efeitos das diferentes características pessoais na integração social. Um modelo estrutural propõe estabelecer em duas etapas as relações entre os constructos e o poder preditivo para avaliar o modelo de pesquisa pretendido. Os resultados demonstram que o aumento da reciprocidade, o apoio recebido, e a promoção da propensão a inovar em TI são iniciativas relevantes que promovem o bem-estar dos usuários e sua integração social. Esta pesquisa, portanto, melhora o poder explicativo da teoria existente e sugere estratégias que melhorem a integração social e o sucesso das redes sociais. Enterprise online communities exist as vendor-hosted platforms to bridge customers, business partners, and employees to co-create values by supporting business objectives and client goals. Unfortunately, establishing online presence through the use of a community platform is no longer sustainable in this hyper-social world, as minimal competitive advantage can be achieved without continuous strategic planning. In an effort to break through the barriers inherent with growing online communities, we investigated the impact of emergent social media as a strategic enabler for attracting, fostering and sustaining community members. We developed a social media maturity model aimed at evaluating the extent of social media usage in an online community. This paper presents our continuing research on the proposed maturity model which is composed of 8 success clusters: communication; collaboration; personalization; externalization; governance; monitoring; technology; and, platform support. Preliminary results are discussed to reveal the utility of the proposed model and future research.

Abstract. We report on focus group feedback regarding the services provided by existing education-related Digital Libraries (DL). Participants provided insight into how they seek educational resources online, and what they perceive to be the shortcomings of existing educational DLs. Along with useful content, social interactions were viewed as important supplements for educational DLs. Such interactions lead to both an online community and new forms of content such as reviews and ratings. Based on our analysis of the focus group feedback, we propose DL 2.0, the next generation of digital library, which integrates social knowledge with DL content.
