In traditional learning, teachers can easily get an insight into how their students work and learn and how they interact in the classroom. However, in online learning, it is more difficult for teachers to see how individual students behave. With the enormous growing of e-learning platforms, as complementary or even primary tool to support learning in organizations, monitoring students' success factors becomes a crucial issue. In this paper we focus on the importance of stress in the learning process. Stress detection in an E-learning environment is an important and crucial factor to success. Estimating, in a non-invasive way, the students' levels of stress, and taking measures to deal with it, is then the goal of this paper. Moodle, by being one of the most used e-learning platforms is used to test the log tool referred in this work.

Online Dispute Resolution is steadily growing to become the major alternative to litigation in court. In fact, given the characteristics of current disputes, technology-based conflict resolution may be a quite efficient approach. However, in this shift of paradigm, there are also threats that should be considered. Specifically, in this paper we deal with the problem of the lack of important context information when parties communicate in a virtual setting. In that sense, we propose the addition of a monitoring framework capable of measuring the level of stress of the parties in a non-invasive way. This information will be used by the platform and the mediator throughout the complete conflict resolution process to adapt strategies in real-time, resulting in a context-aware and more efficient approach.

The current trend in Online Dispute Resolution focuses mostly on the development of technological tools that allow parties to solve conflicts through telecommunication means. However, this tendency leaves aside key issues, namely the context information that was previously available in traditional Alternative Dispute Resolution processes. The main weakness of this approach is that conflict resolution may become focused solely on objective issues. In order to overcome this inconvenience, we move forward to incorporate context and behavioural information in an Online Dispute Resolution platform. In particular, we consider the estimation of the level of stress and the prediction of the stress state evolution. As a result, the conflict resolution platform or the mediator may predict to what extent a party is affected by a particular matter, allowing one to adapt the conflict resolution strategy to a specific scenario in real time.
