“…Similar as the Sciences Citation Index (SCI) and the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) was commonly used to retrieve academic literature related to the humanities and social sciences in China, and its representativeness and applicability have been widely recognized in China (79). Thus, this study referred to “core journals” to identify literature that was indexed in the SCI, SSCI, and CSSCI, and “general journals” to identify literature that was not included in the aforementioned indexes (80).
