Toward a non-intrusive, physio- behavioral biometric for smartphones

Abstract: Biometric authentication relies on an individual's inner characteristics and traits. We propose an active authentication system on a mobile device that relies on two biometric modalities: 3D gestures and face recognition. The novelty of our approach is to combine 3D gesture and face recognition in a non-intrusive and unconstrained environment; the active authentication system is running in the background while the user is performing his/her main task.

“…Mobile nodes constitute a kind of typical dynamic complex network in the process of pervasive sensing service [34]. The social relations as the product of the activity reflect the relationship between the active subjects and reveal the intrinsic nature of the mobile nodes [35]. As the link between different mobile nodes, the direction and weight value of the social relationship usually contain very important social information and can truly reflect the close degree of connections and trust relationship in real nodes.…”
