Oi Parsons καί Purks 4 ανέφεραν οτι άπό 133 άρρωστους πού υπεβλήθησαν σέ θυρεοειδεκτομή γιά σοβαρά στηθάγχη, οι μισοί είχαν πολύ καλά αποτελέσματα. Γιά τόν ίδιο σκοπό χρησιμοποιήθηκε καί ραδιενεργό Ι 1316 τό οποίο ήταν όχι μόνο πιό ασφαλές άπό τήν εγχείρηση άλλα καί συνοδεύετο άπό καλύτερα αποτελέσματα.…”
