Abstract:Total syntheses of two γ-butenolide natural products,
asperjinone
(1) and asperimide C (2) in both racemic
and chiral forms have been accomplished utilizing Basavaiah’s
one-pot Friedel–Crafts/maleic anhydride formation protocol
