This research develops and tests the consistencies of the relation between supply chain management practices, e-business technologies and operational performance. The data for this research is obtained from 67 companies. The relations proposed in the framework of this research are tested using partial least square analysis. The indings of this research shows the impact of supply chain management practices and e-business technologies have an effect on improvement of operational performance. The analysis also found the existence of interaction effect between SCM practices and e-business technologies, both on operational performance.Keywords: supply chain management practices, e-business technologies, operational performance ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengembangkan dan menguji konsistensi hubungan antara praktik manajemen rantai pasok (SCM), teknologi e-business dan kinerja operasional. Studi ini mengumpulkan data dari 67 perusahaan. Hubungan yang diajukan dalam kerangka kerja studi ini diuji menggunakan analisis partial least square. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan dampak manajemen SCM dan teknologi e-business terhadap kinerja operasional. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan keberadaan interaksi efek antara praktik SCM dan teknologi e-business secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja operasional.Kata kunci : Praktik manajemen rantai pasok, teknologi e-business, kinerja operasional

Aims: Investigates national environmental factors on implementing total quality environmental management (TQEM) in the Libyan food industry (LFI), in order to develop modern managerial techniques. Study Design: A questionnaire was conducted with 62 managers and 518 employees from three companies in the LFI. Place and Duration of Study: The study was carried out in Libya, the fieldwork was conducted in 2013. Methodology: Using existing measures obtained from the literature and new ones specifically developed for this research, a battery of items was derived to investigate technical capability, organizational culture, competition, government policy and human resource. Results:The results revealed that, five national environmental factors are identified. The findings show that the social responsibility factor is a new phenomenon that has not generally been studied Saad et al.; BJEMT, 11(4): 1-18, 2016; Article no.BJEMT.23182 2 in Libya, and particularly not in the LFI. Conclusion: This research contributes to the knowledge by investigating the national environmental factors for implementation of TQEM in a different context (i.e., the Arab/North African context). The findings provide a valuable basis to establish a framework model for the implementation of the TQEM in the Libyan context. Original Research Article

Abstract. Climate change and unsecured energy supply are topics that become increasingly important in today's society. Although renewable energy technologies may be a long-term solution, more efficient energy use potentially makes a high and economic contribution to the given challenges in the short term. New CO 2 regulations, rising energy prices and environmentally aware customers make energy efficient manufacturing a priority topic on the agenda of industrial companies. This paper focuses on drives for industrial companies to become more energy efficient in their manufacturing processes by integrating energy efficiency performance information and communication technology (ICT) in production management systems. Based on an EU roadmapping project, the paper analyzes which management tools and concepts support manufacturing companies to successfully implement energy efficiency improvement measures. By integrating energy efficiency performance criteria in ICT systems, decision-makers in industrial companies will be supplied with real-time and accurate information enabling them to make more effective business decisions.
