Torque ripple reduction of switched reluctance motor using PID fuzzy logic controller

Abstract: Switched reluctance motor (SRM) is good alternative for electric vehicle (EV) because of its known advantages like less mass, concentrated phase windings, improvements in power electronics technology, etc. In this study, a PID fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is proposed to reduce the torque ripple of SRM that has two inputs 1) the integration of the speed error 2) the sum of the speed error and the derivative of the speed error.
