TOPSIS for Multi Criteria Decision Making in Intuitionistic Fuzzy Environment

Abstract: This paper is based on intuitionistic fuzzy sets, we introduce an extension of fuzzy TOPSIS for multi criteria decision making problem in intuitionistic fuzzy environment. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets are more suitable to deal with uncertainty than other generalized forms of fuzzy sets. The rating of each alternative and the weight of each criterion are expressed in intuitionistic fuzzy number. The normalized intuitionistic fuzzy number is calculated by using the concept of . Ranking function is used for determin… Show more

“…The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is one of the MCDM methods that can solve the problem of classification of river water pollution by classifying the river pollution. In implementing the TOPSIS method in an intuitionistic fuzzy environment, Gautam et al [11] introduced intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS using a ranking method based on the circumcentre of centroids for the selection of software engineers in software company. Besides, Memari et al [12] used intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS for sustainable supplier selection, while Daneshvar Rouyendegh et al [13] used intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS for site selection of wind power plants in Turkey.…”
