Topology optimization of two-dimensional phononic crystals using FDTD and genetic algorithm

Abstract: The band gap optimization of the two-dimensional solid PNCs is studied. The finite difference time domain method and the genetic algorithm are used as the forward calculation method and optimization scheme, respectively. Some preliminary numerical results are presented.
