Abstract:We construct a global Lindblad master equation for a Kitaev quantum wire of finite length, weakly coupled to an arbitrary number of thermal baths, within the Born-Markov and secular approximations. We find that the coupling of an external bath to more than one lattice site generates quantum interference effects, arising from the possibility of fermions to tunnel through multiple paths. In the presence of two baths at different temperatures and/or chemical potentials, the steadystate particle current can be exp… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
