Abstract:Planar bismuthene grown on SiC substrate provides a promising candidate to engineer van der Waals doublelayer (DL) made of two dimensional (2D) topological insulators. We perform systematical calculations in DL hydrogenated bismuthene (HBi) that can be used to simulate the experimentally grown planar bismuthene to explore realizable 2D topological insulator van der Waals DL. Two possible geometry configurations of AA and ABstacked DL HBi are investigated. Due to pseudo JahnTeller effect, ABstacked DL HBi has a… Show more

A rising kind of 2D pnictogens has drawn a great deal of attention in the field of catalytic application owing to their high specific surface area, mechanical properties, biocompatibility, optical and electrical performance.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
