Abstract:This study characterized the topography osseointegrated implants (cp-Ti) with machined surface (MS), laser beam surface (LS) and laser beam surface followed by deposition of sodium silicate (SS) by means SEM-EDX, roughness measurements, cross-sectional roughness, contact angle, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and laser confocal optical perfilometry. The SEM of MS showed smooth surface, contaminated with machining residues, while LS and SS rough surfaces with a more regular and homogeneous morphological pattern. The ED… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
