Too much of a good thing? Households’ macroeconomic conditions and credit dynamics

Abstract: Favorable macroeconomic conditions, accompanied by optimistic consumer confidence, can stimulate and shape households’ expectations in such a way that they gradually extrapolate the view of good times lasting “forever”.
